Share the Road is a free, browser-based 80s-style top-down arcade driving game built with Phaser 3, React, and TypeScript. There's no install, no account, and no tracking — just open the page and play.
Steer a neon arcade car down an endlessly scrolling four-lane road. Weave around civilian vehicles, dodge aggressive enemy cars and trucks, and bowl through packs of cyclists riding in V-formations to rack up escalating combos.
Hitting one biker cascades through the rest of their pack. Each chained hit awards an escalating score multiplier (1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 9x, 13x, 18x, 25x, 35x, 50x). Crossing combo thresholds fires mid-run callouts: DOUBLE, TRIPLE, STRIKE, MASSACRE, and OBLITERATION, each with its own camera flash and slow-mo.
Difficulty ramps through seven named acts. Speed, spawn rate, enemy tracking range, and hazard frequency all climb with each act:
Power-up vans drop shields, weapons, speed boosts, and oil slicks. Weapons let you shoot enemy cars; shields grant temporary invincibility; speed boosts multiply your scroll rate; oil slicks drop behind you to spin out pursuing enemies.
A seeded, one-life run shared across every player each day. Compete on a shared high-score table that resets at midnight.
